A certification provides assurance that individuals have the expertise and experience required to get the job done. The Open Group offers three certifications for practitioners; TOGAF® Certification, IT Architecture Certification (ITAC) and IT Specialist Certification (ITSC).
TOGAF®
The TOGAF® 9 Certification for People Programme is a market-driven education and certification programme to support TOGAF® 9. There are two levels to certification: Level 1, known as TOGAF® 9 Foundation, and Level 2, known as TOGAF® 9 Certified. The Programme ensures that individuals are knowledgeable about TOGAF®, have a common baseline of knowledge, and provides a visible trust mark. It is not intended to validate the individual’s ability to use TOGAF® effectively in practice, nor to determine whether he/she is competent as an IT or Enterprise Architect.
The Open Group IT Architect Certification Programme is designed to validate the qualities and skills in a professional that enable the effective practice of IT architecture. The Programme is skills and experience-based.
The Open Group IT Specialist Certification Program is designed to validate the qualities and skills in a professional that enable the effective development, implementation, and operation of IT solutions. The Programme is skills and experience-based.
